Fire Department Fundraiser (May 7th 2012) - The Duck Lake Volunteer Fire Department will be doing a fundraiser for renovations of the fire hall. $20 tickets will be sold for 12 draws of $200 meat packages. Ticket sales will start the beginning of May with first draw being August 1st. Tickets are available from any volunteer fire fighter.

New to Duck Lake () - Russell Hanson's Mounted Police Museum is located in the former Glen Scrimshaw Gallery, adjacent to Highway 11. Open from 10:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. seven days a week until Labour Day. Winter hours. Gift Shop, Museum, Antiques & Powered Campsites. For more information contact 467-4611.

Location
The Town of Duck Lake is situated at the junction of Highway #11 and #212.

The city of Prince Albert is 50 km north of Duck Lake with Saskatoon 85km south on Highway #11.


Transportation services
Truck transport
Duck Lake is served by Rosthern Valley Transfer, Purolator Courier, Brinks, Co-Op and Loomis. This form of transportation has increased over the last few years.

Passenger Bus Service
Duck Lake is serviced by the Saskatchewan Transportation Company seven days a week. There are six buses daily and packages up to 100 pounds are accommodated by bus freight services.

Ferries
There is ferry service on either side of Duck Lake. The Wingard Ferry to the West, crosses the North Saskatchewan River and connects people to various towns and northern lakes. To the East is the St. Laurent Ferry. It crosses the South Saskatchewan River, making a shorter trip to some of the historic sites.
These Ferries not only provide transportation but also enjoyment for those people who cross the river to fish, picnics or for some to experience the thrill of riding the ferry for the first time.

Railways
Rail service in Duck Lake is provided by the Carlton Trail Railway. Loading facilities are available in Town.

Air Service
Air Service is accessible in Prince Albert (46 km) and Saskatoon (88 km). The Prince Albert Air Strip is the closest Air Service available with a 1525 concrete runway. Regina has the nearest customs office.
